Travis Scott Sued by Paralyzed Concertgoer After Encouraging Fans to Jump off Balcony

An audience member who fell from the third floor balcony while watching Travis Scott at New York’s Terminal 5 is now suing the rapper and the venue.

As the New York Post reports, 23-year-old Kyle Green’s lawsuit alleges that he was pushed from the balcony during the April 30 concert by the crowd, after Scott encouraged fans to leap from the venue’s higher levels. The rapper later noted that he encouraged jumps from the second level of seating as opposed to the third.

“I fell and hit the floor. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by security guards, who scooped me up,” Green told the publication. “Travis Scott was yelling at his security guards to bring me to the stage.”

As cellphone video from the incident shows, Scott shouts for venue staff to pick him up! Pick his ass up! Take this ring! Pick him up, man!”

Upon being brought to the stage, Scott gave Green one of his rings. Green added that “they didn’t put a backboard or a neck brace on me or anything, they just kinda lifted me up and pulled me around…Then they dropped me in front of the stage.”

Green was left paralyzed on his left side from his injuries sustained in the fall, which included fractured vertebrae, a broken left wrist and fractured right ankle. He was forced to leave school in Brooklyn due to his condition.

The New York Posts notes that Green’s suit claims the venue and concert staff should have known that Scott “had incited mayhem and chaos at prior events.” Neither Scott or Terminal 5 has publicly commented on the suit.
