The resident of a West Side apartment where hazardous chemicals were
found has been arrested, but residents evacuated Tuesday night from the
building won't be allowed back in until investigators figure out what
they are dealing with. Brian Campbell, 30, was tentatively charged with
second-degree reckless endangering safety, Madison police said. Other
agencies, including the FBI and ATF, were called in, and the building
was evacuated. As of Wednesday morning, subject matter experts were
trying to identify the chemicals in the apartment and the potential use
of those chemicals.
