Surrey's Christmas ice rinks compared - all you need to know before getting your skates on

The festive season is just around the corner and for the well-organised among us, this means checking out the best Christmas markets, events and activities - including ice rinks.
From Reigate on Ice to the re-branded Ice Skate Camberley, Surrey and its surrounding areas is spoilt for choice when it comes a festive skate around.
However finding the best bargain and cosy atmosphere can be tricky when you don't know where to begin, so we've put together a handy guide to save you the hassle.
It comes to no surprise that skating around Hampton Court Palace comes top of the price list, however it is shortly followed by Guildford's The Village Ice Rink while competitor, Guildford Spectrum is the cheapest skating destination.

Hampton Court Palace

If you're looking for a grand location to have a spin then why not have a festive skate around the historic Hampton Court Palace in East Molesey?
This year the ice rink is even bigger, with early morning weekend skate sessions and new food stores.
As to be expected the palace is the most expensive location for a Christmas skate in Surrey with adult tickets pricing at £13.50 and £9.50 for a child but hey, it'd be worth it!

Open from November 24 until January 7. Find out more here.

Guildford

Guildford has an indoor and outdoor ice rink competing for your festive spirit, and it's open year-round.
Guildford Spectrum is Surrey's cheapest ice rink this festive season and you can have a skate around the indoor arena whatever the weather.
You can even hire penguin and snowmen skating aides to help the little ones around.
Adult tickets cost £5.80 while child tickets cost £4.80, but even with the extra £2.10 for the skate hire, it is still the least expensive.
