Friday — Sunday, Oct. 27-29
n Haunted house hosted by Kingsley Field Fire Department, “Plan Z How to Survive the Zom-bie Apocalypse or Chaos that Would Follow a Cascadia Event,” 6 to 10 p.m., 727 S. Fifth St., at the Y between Fifth and Sixth streets downtown. Cost is $3 per person, and may not be suitable for young children. Proceeds to benefit Sky Lakes Breast Health Center mammograms.
Friday, Oct. 27
n Games, crafts and spooky treats at 3:30 p.m. in the Klamath County Library. Those attending are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume.
■ iQor will present its Third Annual Haunted House in “A Night of Terror” from 5 to 10 p.m. in the cultural center at the Ross Ragland Theater. Tickets are $3 or three cans of food for the Kla-math-Lake Counties Food Bank. Parental discretion is advised as it may not be suitable for chil-dren. Followed at 7 p.m. by screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” in the theater for a suggested donation of $5. There will also be “goodie” bags available at the screening for $5.
n Come join the Boy and Cub Scouts of Klamath falls for their Halloween Spook-a-ree Friday, Oct. 27 from 6-9 p.m. at the local Scout office located at 1819 Manzanita St. Boys and girls ag-es 5-11 are invited to attend. The cost will be $4 per child. Adults and children can purchase tickets to go through our haunted house for $.50 each. There will be prizes and scary snacks available for all.
Saturday, Oct. 28
n Klamath and Western Railroad will provide free rides from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its location on South Chiloquin Road. Pumpkins for $3 each will be available for purchase.
■ Scarecrow Row, a downtown event for children and families from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. that includes a costume parade which will begin at 10:15 a.m. followed by trick-or-treating at down-town businesses from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Activities and games will be offered at the Farmers Market at Ninth and Main streets until 1:30 p.m.
■ Mazama High School will hold its Second Annual Spooktacular Carnival from 5 to 7 p.m. in the school. Included will be games, contests, prizes, and trick or treat. Cost is $2 or two canned food items.
■ Haunted House will be held by Future Business Leaders of America in EagleRidge High School from 6 to 10 p.m. Cost is $2 for children, students and senior citizens with proper identi-fication and $4 for adults.
■ Special Needs Activity Board’s Halloween Party/Dance will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. in Build-ing No. 2 on the Klamath County Fairgrounds. Includes a baked potato bar, fruit, cake, punch and water. Cost is $4. Costumes are preferred, but not necessary.
■ Oregon Tech’s 25th anniversary Trick-or-Treat and Haunted House, 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the school’s residence hall. Includes haunted houses, a pumpkin patch with non-frightening activities for children and a trunk-or-treat way. Free and open to the public with donations of cash and nonperishable food items encouraged for the Klamath Lake County Food Bank.
■ FFA Haunted House at 7 p.m. in the FFA Barn at Henley High School.
■ “Goblin Fest 2017,” a costume ball at the Ross Ragland Theater at 8 p.m. for those 21 years old and older. Tickets, which include entry into a haunted house, are $25.
Tuesday, Oct. 31
■ The Herald and News invites all the little costumed ghouls and goblins to come trick-or-treat at our office, at 2701 Foothills Blvd., from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
■ Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church will host a trunk or treat in its parking lot at 4431 S. Sixth St. from 4 to 7 p.m.
■ Running Y Ranch Resort Halloween Spooktacular, 4:30 to 7 p.m., resort convention center. Includes games, haunted Candyland, costume contest, cake walk and trick-or-treating. Admis-sion of $2 will be donated to Ella Redkey Pool.
■ Merrill Presbyterian Church will hold its Third Annual Truck-Or-Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. with warm chili and hot chocolate in the parking lot at 210 W. 2nd St. in Merrill.
■ Family Halloween Party will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Mia & Pia’s Pizzeria & Brewhouse at 3545 Summers Lane. Included will be guessing the weight of a pumpkin contest, a Halloween coloring contest, trick or treat, and a pumpkin bash benefiting CASA.
■ Harvest Art Festival will be held by Two Rivers Art Gallery from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Chiloquin Community Center. Included will be free candy and creating art projects to take home with the wearing of Halloween costumes optional.
– Klamath Christian Center will hold its Harvest Festival from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 6100 Church Hill Drive. Included will be games, costumes, candy, a bounce house, popcorn and hot dogs. Sug-gested donation is one bag of candy.
■ Harvest Party and Carnival, games and treats for children and families, costumes encouraged, 6 to 8 p.m., Shasta Way Christian Church, 5835 Shasta Way.
